Reaching out to begin therapy requires vulnerability, trust, and the desire to know oneself better. I believe that engaging in therapy is a brave act. Therapy is a date clients make to show up for themselves and receive support as they navigate the inevitable ups-and-downs of life.
I have expertise in perinatal mental health, birth trauma, and grief. I earned a Canadian
Certificate in Perinatal Mental Health (CC-PMH) and Perinatal Grief (CC-PG). I have worked extensively supporting clients with parenting issues, perinatal loss, perinatal anxiety, and managing the symptoms of grief. In my previous roles, I worked in youth violence prevention and supported mindfulness programs in jails. I have a strong interest in social justice work and incorporate an anti-oppressive lens into my practice.
I live by the belief that everyone I see is doing the best they can with what they
have. In terms of what to expect, I blend multiple modalities and experiences to meet the unique needs of clients. I draw from person-centred, existential, relational / cultural,
mindfulness and parts work.
Overall, my goal as a therapist is bear witness and create spaces for clients to process, heal and thrive.
